VISION

Our vision for Hockerill is to be a co-educational day and boarding school that is a community of learners focused on achieving excellence for all. Our students will be inspired to achieve this because:

  • Our staff are the best they can be through continuous reflection on their practice and professional standards
  • Our curriculum is rich, relevant, diverse and fulfilling
  • Our extra-curricular provision gives every student the opportunity to develop their talents and interests
  • Our resources of people, finance and facilities are organised to optimise student achievement, agency and well-being Our students will graduate confident that they have the skills, knowledge and resilience to create a joyful future for all.

VALUES

In seeking to achieve our Mission, the College operates within a framework defined by five guiding principles:

  • High aspirations
  • International outlook
  • Lifelong learning
  • Sustainable development
  • Ethical leadership

Our strategy is clear and focused on our core purpose – to enable our students to achieve personal excellence and a just and joyful future for all. We will respond and adapt to any new opportunities that arise. Our strategy reflects how we judge we should best position ourselves in the current educational and political environment. These are particularly fluid and challenging times, and we will regularly re-evaluate our plan in line with any developments on both a local and national scale.

It is our intention that Hockerill will be stronger, more dynamic and at the forefront of educating young people to create a joyful future for all.
