China Trip 2024: A Journey to Remember
October saw twenty students from Year 11 and Year 13 embark on an extraordinary adventure across China, visiting Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai.
This trip offered more than just iconic landmarks like the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army Museum—it was a true cultural immersion. Students participated in activities such as calligraphy, noodle-making, Tai Chi, and even Jianzi, a traditional Chinese sport. They cycled along Xi’an’s ancient city walls, hiked the scenic Qinling Mountains, and engaged with locals in markets and during a school visit in Beijing, practising their Mandarin along the way.
With a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine and hands-on experiences, the trip provided a deeper understanding of China’s rich history, culture, and daily life. It was an unforgettable journey filled with discovery, connection, and lifelong memories.
