Over the past two weeks, more than 80 students represented Hockerill at the Bishop's Stortford District Netball Tournaments. It was an exciting and competitive event, with our teams putting on fantastic displays of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.

  • First VII & U16A Girls' Teams: Both teams showed incredible determination and played outstanding netball against tough competition. While they didn’t reach the finals, they secured strong victories over Freman College and Birchwood High School, highlighting their competitive edge.

  • U15A & U15B Girls' Teams: A fantastic team effort saw these teams finish second and fourth in their respective competitions. They achieved impressive wins over HRS, Freman College, St Mary’s School, and Joyce Frankland Academy. Congratulations to Khalisah, Esme, and Izzy, who were named Players of the Match for their outstanding contributions.

  • U14A & U14B Girls' Teams: Both teams displayed excellent skill, securing second and fourth place finishes. Lucia, Abigail, Meha, and Izzy were named Players of the Match for their incredible performances.

  • U13A & U13B Girls' Teams: Despite a challenging tournament, our U13 teams showed determination and resilience, finishing fourth and fifth in their groups.

  • U12A & U12B Girls' Teams: The U12B team had an incredible run, winning their competition and reaching the semi-finals! The U12A team also gave a strong performance, narrowly missing out on a chance in the semi-finals.

Looking Ahead to the Final Fixtures

As the netball season draws to a close in the coming weeks, our teams are looking forward to their upcoming matches against Saffron Walden County High School and the final Saturday fixture against St Edmund’s College. We are excited to see our teams continue to demonstrate the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
