Refectory

Mealtimes at Hockerill take place in our purpose-built Refectory, a space thoughtfully designed with in-put from students who worked closely with architects to create a welcoming and functional dining environment. Here students can enjoy a wide variety of foods from self-service counters before dining with friends in their respective year groups.

Holroyd Howe is the College's catering partner. As an award-winning catering company specialising in independent and boarding schools, Holroyd Howe truly understands the unique needs of our community.

We understand how important suppers and weekend meals are to a boarding school community. We focus on creating a home-away-from-home environment that adds fun and excitement, making mealtimes something pupils can look forward to 

At Hockerill, we collaborate closely with Holroyd Howe to provide nutritious, sustainable, and delicious menus. Almost all food is prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible.

We are committed to catering for special dietary requirements, including dairy/lactose intolerance, gluten-free diets, and halal food.

To ensure variety and excitement, our catering team regularly introduces themed menus and organises student cookery classes, giving pupils opportunities to explore their culinary skills and make mealtimes a highlight of their day.
