GCSE for Years 10 to 11

At Hockerill, we offer a broad range of GCSE subjects. The vast majority of students are encouraged to study Ebacc subjects, regardless of their status, with consistently over 95% being entered for these subjects. Our KS4 curriculum is designed to allow students to study two Modern Foreign Languages at GCSE, in keeping with our international and European outlook. Our Year 9 Options process is also structured to support the Arts and non-Ebacc subjects. With all students required to choose an ‘Elective’, this ensures our curriculum remains broad and balanced. The tutor programme provides extensive support for our students, helping them to maintain a good balance while ensuring they are well prepared for their public examinations at the end of the course.
